～18k gold vermeil.  Do not confuse it with a regular 0.5 microns gold plating over a brass base. Gold vermeil jewelry has a solid 925 sterling silver base coated with a very thick, 2.5 microns layer of 18k solid gold, which makes it 5 times much longer lasting!
